With heat-treated steel, the web winch’s weight is reduced by 2 lbs to reduce fuel expenses and/or allow for a greater payload, and the strength is simultaneously improved. High-strength alloy pawl pins provide plenty of strength while a seamless, solid steel mandrel includes a smooth ground web slot to prevent web wear and save you money down the road on new straps. With a durable black powder coat finish, the winch can withstand up to 250 hours of standard salt spray testing, so you can be confident using the winch in harsh road conditions., The standard portable w/2SS 7-mm. bottom mount web winch can be easily installed on your truck or trailer for quick access, while the portable design allows for temporary installation along the trailer frame. With a working load limit of 5,500 lbs a 7-mm. build, and a portable design, the bottom mount web winch makes for a durable and versatile solution for tying down heavy-duty cargo., Ancra winches comply with DOT, WSTDA-T3 and Canadian Standard 905 regulations., IMPORTANT NOTE:, It is our recommendation that portable winches be removed from the trailer and stored when not in use. These style winches are secured to the trailer by the strap tension, not the set screws.
