The National Seals Wheel Seal is part of the Gold 38 Series, which is made for severe environments involving extreme heat, mixed lubricants, and high contamination risk. Its PTFE sealing lip is capable of handling temperatures from -100°F to 450°F, a range that exceeds that of standard nitrile-based seals. The seal incorporates a triple-barrier contamination system that blocks particulate intrusion at multiple stages, giving wheel ends a higher margin of protection during heavy off-road or long-haul service. The PTFE compound produces low friction even when lubricant formulations vary, and the patented bi-directional sealing lip lays down against the shaft to increase contact area during wheel end movement. The National Seals 380003A provides a high-performance sealing solution for wheel ends exposed to unpredictable thermal and mechanical loads.
